Friedrich air cleaners are rated quite well on the Consumer Reports website. They are reasonably priced as compared to similar Kenmore air cleaners. Kenmore air cleaners come in various models quite similar in performance and features as those made by the Friedrich air purifier company.

Before deciding on a Friedrich air purifier though, it is wise to conduct your own research using one of the many consumer interest websites that are available. This way you can most effectively compare and contrast the features of several different air cleaners at the same time.

Also, you may be surprised at what a little bit of research may turn up relating to the particular air purifier that you have been thinking about purchasing. Some of the most commercialized air cleaners simply do not stand up to the claims made on the commercials.

While Friedrich air cleaners do seem to perform similar to how the makers’ claim the cleaners will perform, other machines such as the ones manufactured by the Oreck company simply do not work as they are portrayed on television, so it’s certainly worth taking the time to perform a little bit of your own research.

Don’t be misled by ionizing air cleaners. While this can be a nice feature, some people claim that ionization is irritating to humans and pets alike. If you really want to get a purifier that includes ionization, such as the Friedrich C-90A, be sure that the unit also provides adequate movement of air.

Ionization, as well as filtration in general, only work when a good amount of air is moved through the purifier. Simply put, cleaners can only treat air that moves through the unit itself. If air is not moved sufficiently so that all the air in a room is circulated, then it can’t possibly be cleaning the entire volume of air in the room.

The Friedrich air purifier, model C90A is an ionizing air purifier with excellent ratings for dust removal and pollen removal, as well as very good ratings for smoke removal. The unit costs around $450 USD.

While Friedrich air cleaners perform well in a number of tests, many customers point out that they are some of the least attractive air cleaners. If aesthetic appearance is important to you, you may wish to consider models other than Friedrich air cleaners.
